Summer is here, but it's slipping away already.

So, I might actually start blogging properly now my exams are over. 

I've got allllllll summer to do anything I like, that's just about all the time in the world compared to how busy I've been with college. 

So I've been setting myself little projects recently, I need to start being more creative because I know I have it in me. It's just finding the ideas and the motivation to allow myself to get things done. And, I definitely want to get more involved with photography as I haven't been for a long time.

I have been focusing on portrait photography lately although my photos aren't great I am learning as I go. My beautiful friend Boo has been standing in as my model and I think I have got some pretty decent pictures from our shoots.

Of course these are edited in Photoshop, that's just me and how I like to do it. 

I know some people don't agree with editing photos but I do believe it can make an already good photo even better. 

And I am definitely interested in the arty side of photography.

New York, New York.

So, I went to New York this February for my 18th. 

Unfortunately I was sick with a stomach bug (would you believe it!) but I still managed to get some decent shots. 

I've put a "watermark" on them, sorry I know it ruins the photos.

So those are just a few of my photos from New York, I have hundreds. 

Despite being ill I had a brilliant time and I have the best mum in the world for taking me there, what a fantastic present.

We only visited for a few days and it flew by, it feels as if it didn't quite happen, like a half remembered dream.

New York is definitely a city worth visiting, if you get the opportunity, don't hesitate!

And take a good camera! A brilliant place to get some good night time shots.

So this is me. 

I thought I would start a blog in hope that it will motivate me to do more photography.

And now summer is on it's way, more opportunities will come about to capture some pleasing shots.

Hopefully I can find some models for a little portrait photography as I've been pretty interested in that as of late. 

But self portraits aren't easy to accomplish with my kind of camera. I've no flip screen which makes it difficult to see what I'm taking, so I've given up on that idea.

I don't know how much I will update this right now as I have exams coming up, but it should be updated very frequently after June!
